Top 5 of the month: the best spas/massages in Hong Kong
By Hong Kong Massage Classifieds

Work, kids, noise, pollution… We would love to escape but there’s no escape in sight. For those of us who can’t take time off, you can still get a break with a gentle massage. So what are you waiting for? Hop hop hop, choose among Hong Kong’s Top 5 spas, book and EN-JOY!

Chuan Spa at Cordis Hotel : Amazing and Efficient Technique!
I personally love this one. First, it offers a breathtaking panoramic view of Hong Kong (which is always nice). Next, all treatments are customised to match your needs, inferred from the questionnaire you completed on arrival. Therapists are generous with their creams and body oils, and apply the traditional Chinese massage techniques to swiftly leave you feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.
Make the most out of the facilities before starting your massage. Soak in the hot bath, hammam or sauna, or all three. Your skin is ready to be pampered and to balance its yin and yang for pure bliss. Just a word of advice: opt for the Chuan Harmony massage or the Ginger Renewal treatment, which work wonders. Then, end your spa day with fragrant tea, accompanied with fresh fruits.

Peninsula : The Best Indian Spa Treatment in Hong Kong
Now, this is the best in terms of quality! We began with the Heat and Water experience: Going into a huge indoor pool area lined with bay windows. The pool was large enough to swim laps or enjoy the power fountains, while taking in a view of Hong Kong’s skyline, followed by the sauna, hammam, and power showers. We were there for ages. Next, we headed for our massage treatment. I would suggest you try the blissful Sattva treatment (100 minutes). Ultra customized, massage oils are picked based off your pre-treatment questionnaire. I have rarely felt as relaxed as I did after my treatment. And depending on your schedule, you can even decide to return to the pool for a glass of fresh fruit juice, tea or a light lunch prepared by the hotel’s Michelin-starred chef.

Oriental Spa at the Landmark Mandarin : Divine, Luxurious, to Die For
Tepidarium chairs, a pool heated at 35 degrees with water jets, an ice fountain for the ultimate cool-down, a relaxation room with music in the background, drinks and fresh fruits…it’s incredibly luxurious with little fuss. We almost forgot all about our massage. And once there, the experience was flawless. The Oriental Essence 90 minutes treatment is simply fabulous. We left perfectly replenished and relaxed from head to toe. All in all, it was superb. You could even finish off the day like we did by having dinner at Amber, the Michelin-starred restaurant which never disappoints, unless you prefer to get a drink at the Mo Bar where the music-filled Happy Hours are always worth going to.

ESPA Ritz Carlton: An Exceptional View at the Top of Hong Kong
Does the highest spa in the world tempt you? If it does, head to Ritz Carlton and you will not be disappointed. You can start with a healthy lunch at the salad bar with a view of Hong Kong’s skyline. Then enjoy your massage before going to the relaxation area. The view of the bay from there is incredible. For my part, I certainly didn’t regret having my hot stones massage which heats you up and relaxes the body. In fact, it was incredible! Don’t hesitate to go for the fresh fruit, yoghurt, drinks and desserts on offer. They come straight from the hotel kitchen and are absolutely delicious.

Le Spa by Jan : Intimate and Affordable
Beautiful environment/unbeatable price, a warm welcome, a professional therapist, ultra organic products…. What more can be said? Jan launched this independent spa about a year ago for us to enjoy. There’s nothing like a great smile to make you want to return to a place. For the best relaxation experience, opt for the hour-long Aroma Relaxation massage. But the flagship treatment not to be missed is the microdermabrasion treatment, and we will leave you to discover why. It’s worth it!
